Often spending more on quality items can save you money in the long run. Buying lower quality may save you money on the front end, but those items often end up wearing out faster than expected.

A higher quality item will typically last longer and the longer you keep an item, the less it costs you per year. It's better to pay more for well-made items, especially if it is important to you, or is something to be used often.

For example, articles of clothing you wear all the time, shoes, mattresses, and a nice coffee maker.
