Stop buying useless stuff in order to show off or impress other people.

Many people try to purchase "high-status" items to live up to a certain standard and imitate someone else's lavish lifestyle.

Shopping for pretty, expensive things imparts instant gratification but eats away your savings. The rush is fleeting.

It's not worth going into debt to create a lifestyle that you can’t afford at the moment. Be honest with what you have rather than comparing yourself to others. 

Merely having fancy stuff doesn’t guarantee fulfillment.
